On average, yes, more men lose hair than women. Two-thirds of men will have some degree of hair loss by the time they’re 40 but new statistics suggest the problem is more prevalent at a younger age. An estimated 40 percent of hair loss sufferers are female. By the time they reach age 50, roughly half of all women will be dealing with some degree of pattern hair loss.
