While Sildenafil is generally safe for most men, like all prescription medications, it does have the potential to cause side effects. The majority of these are mild and transient (meaning they will fade away as the medication exits your body), although some can become serious if you use other medications, or have a pre-existing health condition.
The most common side effects of Sildenafil include headache, muscle aches, back pain, stuffy or runny nose, dizziness, facial flushing, rash, upset stomach or nausea, blurred vision or other visual changes and lowered blood pressure.

Serious side effects of Sildenafil include sudden loss of vision, hearing problems and priapism, which is an erection lasting longer than four hours.
