Typically, one tablet of Tadalafil is recommended to be taken approximately 60 minutes before sexual activity. The tablet should be swallowed whole, and not broken or crushed.
When Tadalafil is taken as needed, it can start working within 30-45 minutes but reaches peak effect in most men 2 hours after it’s taken. Like other PE medications that are taken as needed, it must be taken in advance of when you plan to be sexually active, in order to allow sufficient time to start working.
Remember that Tadalafil will only work when you are sexually aroused, but it should help to improve climax control while the medication is active in your body.
One dose of Tadalafil taken as needed for sexual activity can remain effective for up to 36 hours. Since Tadalafil’s effectiveness lasts for a long time - particularly when compared to other PE medications including Sildenafil - it can be taken well in advance, to allow for more spontaneous sexual activity over the course of a day or night.
