what are the differences between your various topical finasteride with minoxidil treatments?

At Hims, we currently offer three different forms of Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil treatments.

Our Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil Spray treatment is compounded with a fast-drying alcohol base, which is applied in a fine mist and is designed to absorb quickly into the scalp.

In addition, we also offer an enhanced Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil, Ketoconazole and Biotin Spray, containing two additional active ingredients to further support hair and scalp health. This treatment is also easily applied in a fine mist, and includes the addition of eucalyptus essential oil for a fresh scent.

Lastly, our alcohol-free Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil Serum is formulated using a combination of natural ingredients and essential oils, which makes for a more gentle alternative, and is particularly useful for those with a more sensitive scalp.

All three treatments contain the same concentration of Finasteride (0.3%) and are each designed to be applied to the scalp once daily. Provided that our clinicians' usage guidelines are followed as outlined on the patient information leaflets, each individual treatment offers an equivalent daily topical dosage of Finasteride.

Our Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil Spray and Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil Serum each contain the same concentration of Minoxidil (6%), whereas our enhanced Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil, Ketoconazole and Biotin Spray contains a slightly increased Minoxidil concentration of 7%.

All of our variations of Topical Finasteride with Minoxidil can be effective forms of treatment, though it is recommended to consider the key similarities and differences between the products (such as method of application and choice of inactive ingredients within the formulation) when deciding which option is best suited for you.
