You are welcome to use other cosmetic hair products alongside our Hims treatments, and these will not have any impact on the efficacy of the medication. These alternative products could include gels, oils, waxes, hair sprays, hair dyes, hair fibers and more.
However, for best results, our topical treatments should be applied to a clean, dry (or towel-dry) scalp, and the medication should be allowed to fully dry before any additional cosmetic products are applied to the hair.
With regards to the usage of derma rollers or microneedling devices alongside our topical treatments, this may result in an increased absorption of the active ingredients. Please be advised that this may subsequently increase your risk of experiencing side effects.
In addition, due to a lack of clinical studies focusing on the efficacy of derma rollers in connection with Finasteride and Minoxidil in topical form, our Clinical Team are unable to make a formal recommendation as to whether these devices should be used for best results.
